There is more than one approach to Menopause…..Educate yourself.

I am a teacher at heart. How do hormones affect our health and what does aging do to

our hormones?

Refer to a NY Times article “Women Have Been Mislead about Menopause”. When

peri-menopausal symptoms set in. We say the women is estrogen dominant or

progesterone deficit. When we, as patients, tell our doctors (who have received little or

no training), they shrug their shoulders and say that is natural. Or they may offer you a menopausal cocktail: *anti-depressant *anti-anxiety *sleeping pill *pain killer *muscle relaxant You have to understand that med schools don’t teach menopausal education because the NIH’s last stance was in 2004 and they said hormones were bad. 50% of information taught in med school will be disproved in their lifetime. 30% of med schools don’t teach a class in menopause. Only 6% of graduating doctors say they feel comfortable discussing menopausal treatments with their patients.

You are going to have to educate yourself. Visit our website to get started.
